PODCAST #113: Go Fast… Keep Fasting

“Go fast, take chances” was what I used to say to my daughters when they would drive to school in the morning. I still believe that in some instances, but today is all about going fast and keeping fasting. What you put in your body is just as important as what you do and how you think. Talk to people who fast on a regular basis and they will tell you that it can be transformative. Fasts are a part of a lot of different religions, and while the Buckster is not a religious man (Mrs. Bucky Haighte more than makes up for my lack of faith) when so many religions agree on 1 thing, there may be something to it. Doctors have talked about the health benefits of this for years. We are always trying to get better, be better, do better, but your ability to do that is limited by your physical body, and if you don’t take care of that, you can’t do anything. This is a way to set yourself apart. I didn’t realize this until after I recorded this episode, but my podcast producer has been eating 1 meal a day regularly for the last 2 years now. Sometimes he has a healthy snack around noon, but outside of that he eats dinner and that’s it! The guy’s 55 years old and he is the same weight he was in college and says he feels better now than when he was 21. This works.
